This adaptor allows you to play 45 RPM records.

Turn the unit on by rotating the ON/OFF-  
VOLUME KNOB (7) clockwise.  
About This Manual  
Set the SPEED CONTROL SWITCH (4) to  
to the correct speed (33 1/3,45 or 78 rpm).  
Instructions in this manual describe the control  
functions of the CR249.

Place the record on the turntable.

USB Cable  
Use the CUE LEVER (2) to raise the tone arm  
off its rest. Move the tone arm over the record  
and use the cue lever to lower it onto the record.  
The record will begin to turn automatically.

Place the 45 RPM adaptor over the spindle.

Gently place your 45 RPM record onto the  
turntable.

At the end of the record, the tone arm will return  
to its rest.

play your record.

USB Operation  
Using the included software and cable, the USB  
connection allows you record your records onto your  
computer. Follow these instructions to use the USB.

Insert the enclosed software CD into your  
computer.  
Follow the instructions on the computer screen  
to install the software. If the software does not  
load automatically, browse the CD and open  
the Read Me folder for further instructions.

Connect the small end of the USB cable to the  
USB JACK (15) on the back of the unit.  
Connect the other end to a USB port on your  
computer.  
On your computer, open the Record Recording  
Software.  
For instructions on operating the Record  
Recording Software, browse the software CD  
and open the Read Me folder.

The AC Power cord is not connected. Make sure  
it is connected to an AC outlet and the back of  
the unit.

The unit is not turned on : rotate the VOLUME  
knob from the OFF position.  
Turntable  
CAUTION:  
No sound is coming from unit.  
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE  
COVER (OR BACK). NO USER - SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER  
SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.

The white protective needle cover was not  
removed.  
The volume is not turned unit.  
The lighting flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral  
triangle, is intended to alert user to the presence of uninsulated  
"dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be  
of sufficient magnitude to constitute risk of electric shock to  
persons.  
Tone arm will not move.

Block tie-wrap was not removed from underneath  
tone arm.  
Tone arm hold down clip was not released.  
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended  
to alert user to the presence of important operating and  
maintenance (servicing) instruction in the literature accompanying  
the appliance.

Remove packing materials from unit.  
Note: Save all packing materials.

Untie the wire on the AC ADAPTER (16).  
Plug the AC ADAPTER into appropriate wall  
outlet.

Remove plastic bag covering radio.  
Remove AC ADAPTER from packing.  
Remove tie from A/C ADAPTER.

Plug the small end of the adapter into the  
ADAPTER JACK (12) on the back of the unit.

Open lid and remove styrofoam shipping  
material from turntable.

Remove black tie-wrap from under the tone  
arm.  
Remove white protective needle cover by gently  
pulling towards the front of the unit.

Turn the TURNTABLE SUSPENSION SCREW  
(31) clockwise until it is all the way down.Do  
not force or over tighten it. This allows the  
turntable to float on its shock absorbers.

Release tone arm hold down clip by gently  
pushing to the right. This will unlock tone arm  
from its arm rest. Re-lock the hold down clip  
when moving the unit to another location.
